A PRAYER ON MONDAY

GOOD MONDAY MORNING EVERYONE!  I thought we might just start this day with a prayer.  Weekends can be so busy and our 'day of rest' is often so NOT restful that 'hitting the floor running' on Monday doesn't feel like what we want to do at all.  So join me in praying this prayer and may we all have a good day but also find some time to take a little 'sabbath rest'.........even if it's just for a 1/2 hour or as much time as we can squeeze into another busy day.

A Prayer on Monday

Lord, it’s Monday.

It’s not everyone’s favourite day;

Back to school.

Back to work,

Back to all the chores.

Yet each day is a gift,

Each day is an opportunity.

Each day is special.

Help me to make the most of this day.

Help me in my work,

Help me in my relationships.

May you be glorified in my life,

This and every day.

Amen

“Morning by morning, O Lord, I lay my requests before you, and wait in expectation.”

Psalm 5:3

Thank you Lord for Mondays. Even though they are a slow day for me, I take them for the best they have to offer and give thanks for the strength and sanity I have to participate in them.

Thank God for every day, even Mondays haha.... A couple of my Chinese friends have taught me their expression "tian tian kuai le" which means "let every day be happy"... This is my goal, every day including Monday. I do find it challenging, but I am trying to learn to incorporate "Sabbath Rest" into every day by learning to have tiny prayer breaks at small moments whenever possible. This does help. Thank You Lord.

Don't know how to say Amen in Chinese but I would if I could Heidi!
