DON'T PLAN TO FAIL!

"From Judy, to my good friends: How truly I love you! We’re the best of friends, and I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health—that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul!"  3 John 1:1 & 2 My paraphrase from the Message paraphrase :)

Does God want us to do well in ALL areas of our lives?  You mean He's not just interested in the spiritual part?  That's right!  There are many verses of scripture that indicate that He wants us to do well physically and emotionally and even to develop and use well the gifts and talents He has given us.  I like the little quote:  "If we fail to plan.......we plan to fail."

A tool that I use frequently in my ministry as a Life Coach is a Self Care Plan.  It's a way to help people get unstuck in any area of their lives and make progress.  I'm sharing a link to an article on how to develop a Self Care Plan.  You can use it for yourself and/or to help a friend.

Self Care not only blesses 'us' but God and others!  It's a win win win kind of thing to do!

What is your experience of 'self care' and what has worked for you to get unstuck?

My experience with self-care has been a positive one when I apply it. Lately I haven't been doing a very good job at it. I can't do a good job unless I am willing to allow God control in all areas of my life.

I never used to use plans a few years ago. But lately they have become very helpful to me. Food plans, scripture reading plans, meditation plans, exercise plans. Sounds like I have planned my life away but as I enter my senior years my body is changing and I need some help to do what is healthy for myself. Plans are a good thing for me and I plan to keep using them!
