Makes me think of how we can just 'drop in' on God any time and He's always ready to just sit down and 'catch up' on life with us. He wants to hear about the 'who, what, where, and when', as well as the 'why' and 'how' we're feeling. Thinking about it that way makes devotions or quiet time, or however you term it, sound very inviting and restful, and not just a rote exercise that we 'have to' do each day.
So, don't think about having 'devotions' when the time comes around for it..........think about 'dropping in' on God and 'catching up' on what you've been doing, are planning to do, with who, when you plan to, and also why you are doing it and how you feel about it............things like that! Just make it a time of 'hanging' with a friend and you'll be surprised at how the time will go and you won't have had time to say all you wanted to tell Him.
