The famous fisherman, Peter, was in a boat one night when a storm came up.......could have been a hurricane! He and his buddies watched and listened as the waves got higher and the winds roared louder--and their wonderful Lord slept calmly in the back of the boat! Hollering in fear over the howling of the wind they yelled, "Wake up, Lord! We're about to drown!" Jesus, Master of wind and waves, arose, calmed the sea AND the sailors' hearts----commanding "Peace be still!"
Do you see what happened there? Simple solution--the disciples RAN to the "Eye of the Storm" and it wasn't long until the perfect peace of Jesus enveloped their watery world and their fearful hearts--for remember, all is calm in the "eye of the storm!"
When the wind and waves of fear whirl and swirl around me, Lord, I run to YOU..........the "Eye of the Storm". I hear You say, "Peace be still." You are my perfect peace; You are my quiet refuge. I RUN to You, Lord--and I find peace!
