This is a hard one. How do I trust a God who would ask someone to kill his son? Would God ask me to do that? I would not think so! But I do know that He has asked me to trust Him implicitly with my children and grandchildren………turning them over to Him to have His way with. They are probably my most dearly loved 'Isaac's'!
To say it is difficult at times is an understatement.............especially when I see them going through trials and tribulations in their lives.
But yes, I lay my 'Isaac’s' down daily in obedience to God........my children, grandchildren and other things that are dear to me. Many times it is done with great struggle! But just as He did for Abraham, God has provided Jesus, the sinless Lamb of God, to be my everything and He asks me if HE is enough!
Yes, Lord! YOU are enough. I say with the Psalmist, 'Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.' (Psalm 73:25) Help me continue to lay my 'Isaac's' down Lord and thank You for daily strength without which I could not! Amen
QUESTION: What/who is your 'Isaac' that God asks you to lay down? Is the Lord Jesus Christ enough at those times? Share in the comments as an encouragement to me and to others. Thank you so much!
