RESTFUL EXERCISE!

Isaiah 30:15 "For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not."

It's so easy to stray from the fold!  Can I get a witness????  Oh, I don't mean turning my back on the Lord and walking away from him.  I mean just being lulled into rote living with the Shepherd..............going through the motions and finding my satisfaction and fulfillment more in the things I'm doing FOR him rather than in HIM alone.

Now,
I'm not asking for problems and adversities but I'm thankful that when they come (and they will) they cause this 'little lamb' to go charging back to the Shepherd.  There, in His presence, I rest, become quiet and renew my confidence by meditating on His attributes and promises found in His word.  It's true!  I get stronger from restful, quiet exercise!  Ready!  Set!.......REST!

Father, I need this kind of exercise.  May you never have to apply the last phrase in that verse to me!  "
AND YE WOULD NOT!"   Amen
