How often we hear people ask that question when something happens to them that is not to their liking. "Why me God?'
I was sitting on the swing on the verandah today having lunch with Christine and Theresa and we got to thinking.............why don't we ask the question like this. "Why me God? Why do you let me live in such a safe, beautiful country such as Canada? Why do I have the good health that I have? Why did I get to know about Jesus and accept Him as my Saviour? Why do I have a family who loves me? Why do I have more than enough food to eat each day? Why do I have a loving church family and the freedom to attend it? Why do I have clean water to drink every day? Why did I get to have an education and have things to keep me busy each day that give me fulfillment and purpose? Why do we have good hospitals and doctors to look after us when we have health problems? Why me God?
Yes, we have things that happen that may make us question the goodness of God in our lives but if we were to really sit down and count our blessings, we would have to admit that we have more reason to question His goodness to us in a positive way.
God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good!
