"Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven. So they worshiped him and then returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy. And they spent all of their time in the Temple, praising God."  Luke 24: 50-53

Where does worship begin and where does it  end? The blessing of the Lord was given to his disciples and they began to worship. They carried this worship in their hearts to Jerusalem and to the Temple. There they continued to worship. But no were does it say it ended. Worship is for every occasion, every day, every circumstance and every moment. Worship is a song, a testimony, reading God's Word, giving our tithes, prayer, and communing one with another. Worship is giving back to God the joy of our salvation that we have received.

Thanks Christine for your excellent 'Home Spun Homily'.  Let's all do just what she says and 'continue' to worship!

Oh how true! It reminds me of Brother Lawrence's writings on practicing His presence. God help me to live this way consistently and not let the cares of life choke out a lifestyle of continual worship. You deserve all the worship from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same! in Jesus Name Amen.

I like the Psalm that says, Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Help me Lord to praise You from the time I rise to when I go to bed.

Wonderful song to go with the meditation. A song in my heart throughout the day helps me to keep in a mode of worship.
